How do I open an account, and how long does it take?

Onboarding is fully digital and typically takes 3–5 minutes. You'll need your passport, a government-issued ID (such as an Emirates ID or national ID card), and a quick address verification. Once approved, your named multi-currency accounts are live immediately. No branch visits, no lengthy paperwork.

What is a named multi-currency account, and why does it matter?

A named account is registered in your name, just like a local bank account in the destination country. This allows you to receive, hold, and send funds in GBP, EUR, USD, or other currencies without the automatic conversions (and their costs) that a standard international bank wire forces on you. You convert when you choose, at the rate you've agreed.

Can Elev8 protect me against the exchange rate moving before my property completes?

Is my money safe with Elev8?

Yes. Elev8 works with regulated e-money and payment institution partners, including Currencycloud, Ebury, Equals Money, and Sciopay, who provide regulated payments and e-money services in the UK, EU, and the US. When funds are posted to your account, they are safeguarded in accordance with regulatory requirements: held at reputable banks or covered by an insurance policy, and protected in the event of insolvency. Your funds are secured until they are paid out to your beneficiary.

What should I do if I have a complaint?

We take all complaints seriously. You can submit a complaint by emailing info@elev8exchange.com or calling us on +44 (0) 20 4580 1415. We will acknowledge your complaint within one business day and aim to resolve it within 15 business days (and no longer than 35 business days in exceptional circumstances). If you remain unsatisfied, you have the right to escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) for an independent review.
